Coach Speak: The Mustangs started out the season with an overall second place finish in their first meet last Saturday against D’Evelyn and Standley Lake. Many individuals stood out for and represented the Mustangs well. Isabel Gregerson (‘21) took first place in the One-Meter event, Shaelyn Carter (‘19) took second place in 50 Free, and Samantha Baker (’18) took first in the 200 Individual Medley. Losing to D’Evelyn by only 7 points, the girls swim and dive team are excited for what the rest of the season will hold. Senior and veteran swimmer Emma Weaver (’18) explains, “I’m super pumped to get our league championship back this year and work with a great group of girls.” The Mustangs have an upcoming meet today against Columbine and Chatfield.
