Morning Announcements for Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015
October 6, 2015
The Annual Mustang Stampede is the first homecoming event of 2015. We have extended pre-registration through this Thursday. The price is $10, and all proceeds go the Lisa Nelson Memorial Scholarship which will benefit two student athletes at RV. There will also be a free pancake breakfast. Registration forms can be found on rvmustangs.org and turned in to the Main Office. Tell your neighbors, tell your family, and tell your friends, it is sure to be a great morning!
Pre-Sale of Homecoming tickets begins tomorrow, October 7th and goes through October 14th. You may purchase tickets for $15 (CASH ONLY) during both lunches. Buy Homecoming tickets early and avoid the $20 charge at the door.
Are you bringing a guest to Homecoming that does not attend RV? Dance permission forms are available in the Main Office. You may only bring one non-rv guest to the dance. Forms are due back to the Main Office on Tuesday, October 13th before 3:00 p.m.
If you are struggling with a tobacco addiction and would like some support kicking the habit, or would like to help someone close to you to quit, consider joining the NOT Program (Not-On Tobacco) which begins this month. There are no academic or athletic consequences for participating; we’re simply here to help you stop. For more information see Ms Lyons in C2231. Snacks and prizes will be provided!
Seniors: It’s never too early to apply for scholarships. The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a 4 year annually-renewable college scholarship for seniors who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Go to Counseling for more information.
Students and staff are reminded of the “Recognizing Mustangs” program that allows you to recognize fellow students and staff members for achievements both in and out of the Ralston Valley setting. All you need to do is to stop by the Main Office and fill out a form that will result in the recognition being given over the morning announcements. Come on – let us know – we know there are lots of great things being accomplished out there!
