Halfway done, or half to go?
Final weeks of semester ups the anxiety level for RV students
December 11, 2015
It’s that time of the year again when we all come back from the brief break that we enjoy so much.
But now, it’s time to get back to the books, and hit them harder than ever before. That’s right ladies and gents, it’s time for the hardest three weeks of the semester.
Throughout the entire semester, students are put through so much stress as is, but these last weeks of school up the ante a thousand times more. All late work is due, and time dwindles down for people to get their grades up.
Yet, teachers and faculty tell us that these last weeks will go by quickly and with ease.
But can students really believe that?
Having Thanksgiving off is nice, but it still doesn’t make up for the times that deadlines, not to mention finals themselves, these three weeks are what I like to call the three weeks from hell. They are in no way easy, or painless to get through.
What’s worse of all is the brief teasing break that comes before the pain. You get a short week off making it seem as if everything is go with the oncoming weeks.
The only good that comes from the three weeks is the idea that we are almost halfway through the school year. With that though, we are subject to finals, late-work, and all too much time spent on Parent Portal, praying that our grades will go up.
All in all, all we can do these last couple of weeks is to keep chugging down coffee, and continue to push through these final days.
