Coach Speak: For a team that has experienced some of the most consistent winning in school history, it has undoubtedly been a tough start to the season for the Ralston Valley softball team. This past week saw the Mustangs compile a 1-3 record, losing two close games (Wheat Ridge, D’Evelyn), scratching out a win against Poudre, and getting handled by Arvada West in the team’s Jefferson County League opener on Tuesday afternoon. “We really just need to build our confidence in every aspect of the game,” said head coach Wendy Davies. The Mustangs have two league games in the next week, at Lakewood on Friday and at home against Pomona on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
