After coming off some exciting wins against Columbine and Pomona/A-West in the past week, Ralston Valley girls swimming takes on a varsity league meet February 1st and 2nd.

Senior Samantha Baker explains that, “Yesterday (February 1st) was prelims. That’s where people qualify for finals.” Today marks the second round for the swimmers.

“There are ‘A’ finals and ‘B’ finals. If you get to ‘A’ finals, you can win the meet,” Baker said. “We had a lot of girls qualify yesterday.”

Ralston Valley swimmers are looking to win their 14th league title, after placing second last year.

With new head coach, Sheryl Williams, in place, hopefully this will push the Mustangs to victory.

“The new coaching staff has definitely been a transition, but it’s been great,” Baker said.
