The Skinny:  The girl’s tennis team is looking to have another promising season this spring after a very successful state run last year. Senior Samantha Baker comments, “Last season was super awesome because we qualified all 11 varsity girls to state, and it was the same girls for two years which was super fun.” Although losing a large amount of seniors last year that helped to push the team towards competing in the state championship, Baker is optimistic of the future. “This year we have six new girls on the varsity squad and so it’s a whole new team dynamic.” Although losing non-conference matches against Fossil Ridge (4-3) and Mullen (7-0), the Mustangs are in Grand Junction for this upcoming weekend to play in the Western Open Slope tournament.
