The Skinny: Wednesday’s game was a great, 3-0 win for the Mustangs at home against Pine Creek. Brooklyn Garrido (‘19) scored one goal and Maddie DeHerrera (’19) scored the other two. DeHerrera has been a huge part this season. In last Wednesday’s game against Littleton, even though it was a defeat, she scored two incredible goals. At the moment, DeHerrera is averaging two goals per game and she really has a lot of promise for this season. “The girls have a lot of promise this year,” said Payton Cerrone (’18). “I’m looking forward to playing with them. I feel confident in our skills and even with these defeats it makes us better because we know what we need to work on.” Overall, this season is off to a rocky start, but it has signs of improvement especially from Wednesday’s win over Pine Creek.
