The Spring Break trip itinerary

You’re probably familiar with the trips that the Spanish Department takes to various destinations every other year, but this Spring Break, something new is happening.

The Spanish students and the French students joined forces to prepare for the adventure of a life time, hitting up a bunch of cities in Spain and France on a tour called Paris to the Pyrenees.

Combining the two on the same trip makes for an “interesting blend of the two cultures,” the Educational Tour site statese. The trip lasts for 12 days, with places on the itinerary like the grand palace of Versailles, Paris, Bordeaux, Barcelona, and Madrid.

The trip is a great opportunity for students to speak the languages they have been studying, while also experiencing a new language they may or may not know.

Jadie Weidemann, a sophomore in Spanish III, says about the trip, “This is going to be an experience that I will never forget, and it’s a bonus that I get to go with my best friend! The mixing of a French and Spanish trip is going to give me a chance to learn a little French and to experience the Spanish culture I’ve been learning about for the past three years.”

The group leaves March 17th, and the due date to enroll for the trip is September 30th, so check it out! Maybe you could be seeing the sights of Spain and France this Spring Break, too!
