While RV school resource officer Mr. Blaine Engdahl has dealt with LSD use at other Jeffco schools, this was his first instance of handling a similar case at Ralston Valley.

Recently, more than a dozen underclassmen were expelled or suspended from Ralston Valley when they were found to be either distributing and/or using LSD on campus. Additionally, Juuls have become a widespread problem at RV, as students have utilized campus bathrooms to vape.

Wrestling at the John F. Kennedy Commander Invitational last Saturday, January 20, Cole Jesch (19) took first place at 220 pounds. Jesch, along with Colton Frost-Bryant (19), and Stefano Dardano (18), were the three Mustangs to finish atop the podium. RV finished first out of 19 teams.

RV junior Colton Frost-Bryant (19) took first place for the RV wrestling team in last weekends Frederick Invitational. Frost-Bryant is currently ranked in the top 10 in the state at 145 pounds.

RV quarterback AJ Jergensen (19) finds some space in the middle of the Pomona defense during an early-season loss to the Panthers. After losing three-straight games to start the season, the Mustangs and Jergensen have won five of their last six and will travel to the Stutler Bowl to play Cherry Creek on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.
